Kulim is known by a variety of names such as Bawang Hutan or Jungle Garlic, Sagan Berauh, or its scientific name, Scorodocarpus borneensis Becc.
It is a rare fruit that grows natively in Malaysia and other parts of Southeast Asia.Most commonly used by local ethnic groups in Malaysia as an ingredient in their food. Kulim has a pungent aroma and flavour that carries notes of garlic and truffle, as well as an earthy note like shiitake mushrooms.

We want to bring back this forgotten ingredient back to the palate of modern Malaysian cuisine and also to share it with the rest of the world.

We have found that by infusing oil with Kulim, it can serve as a very flavourful and aromatic finishing oil to a dish or as a core component to your cooking. Drizzle it over salads, trickle it over your soups or even add a splash to the pan when you finish up a stir fry.
